Being an Asian American can be a huge blessing, allowing someone to experience both cultures, and choose the values they align with most. But it can also be a curse, as it can seem like you don't completely belong to either group. The feeling of being categorized as an "other" is inescapable. One of the most isolating of these experiences is the inability to speak your native language. This video seeks to explore the confusing feelings of comfort and shame that accompany grouping up in a a household that speaks more than one language.
